The Conqueror

Another two team campaign ideated to be played and finished in a single session. This time Timur the Lame will fight the numerous enemies he conquered in his successful military career.

Timur envisioned the restoration of the Mongol Empire of Genghis Khan. As a means of legitimating his conquests, Timur relied on Islamic symbol and language, referring to himself as the Sword of Islam.

During his lifetime Timur emerged as the most powerful ruler in the Muslim world after defeating the Mamulks of Egypt and Syria, the emerhing Ottoman Empire and the declining Sultanate of Dehli.

By the end of his reign Timur had also gained control over the remnants of the Chagatai Khanate, Ilkhanate, Golden Horde and even attempted to restore Yuan dynasty.

Timur armies were feared, because he laid waste by his campaigns and caused the death of allegedly the 5% of the world population, leading to a barbarian legacy.

The teams will play individual games, each one representing a different period of Timurid wars of expansion.
